The present iteration is the result of a huge amount of prototyping and user testing. Over the course of its development, the design has been pushed to its limits, and evolved to meet the challenges of real user scenarios.
Participatory Design Process
Smashbug was inspired by collaborative workshops with kids ages 5-14, where I worked with them to imagine and develop their own toy products in a toy design lab. Smashbug was designed with a deep understanding of what interactions, concepts, and stories kids in this age range really enjoy. Smashbug prototypes were tested and iterated upon with feedback from kids and adults alike.
